traveling arthritis pain
I hope someone can give me some advice about knee pain.?

I have pain that travels up and down my leg and sometimes the weight of the blankets hurt my ankle. The tenderness and swelling is mainly in the knee. This has been going for over a year and is not arthritis. My doctor ordered an MRI, but can take months and months to get an appointment after seeing a specialist. He has me in an anti-inflammatory, but the pain worsens. I use ice for swelling and heat for the pain. I'm also on a waiting list for physiotherapy.

I broke the cartilige in both knees and 2 years ago both ended up inflating the fluid both have caused great pain was so intense I could hardly walk at one point were so swollen. defintly get the MRI that they can determine if you need surgery to repair the problem (which is what happend with me). personal experince of knee pain before and after my surgery 600 mg of ibuprofen did the trick along with keeping it down permanently frozen but the largest number that is rest as much as possible, I know that is easier said than done: (. It amazes me that taking their time with the knee 2 months is long. I would contact your DR and let him or her know that pain is gettign worse and worse and will accelerate the process for you. Good luck to you hope you feel better soon.
