raynaud’s syndrome arthritis

Raynaud's phenomenon – phenomenally breastfeeding painful?

Along with latching difficulties with my month of twins two years, I have pain in white nipples after meals and whenever I'm cold. The pain from the cold really started when I was pregnant – was when I left with cool or cold weather, but I knew nothing about the pale at the moment. I have rheumatoid arthritis, a risk factor for Raynaud's syndrome, but had never heard talk of Raynaud's phenomenon before. Has anyone else had this problem? What worked? I went to Dr. Newman's website for advice and vitamin B6 have begun today, but I really wanted to see what has helped real people out there in Internet land. Here's a link on Raynaud's nipples that affect the breast feeding Women: http://breastfeeding.blog.motherwear.com/2006/10/tis_the_season_.html

I had this TOO! All I could do (since I could not get any of my doctors believe me and therefore I prescribed Nifedipine) was the stay as warm as possible during the hours of nursing. I wrap myself in a blanket terry, have a "rice sock" prepared (to fill a big old tube sock with rice a little dry, draw, draw in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until hot as you want) to put on my BB … Trying to put my hand on the contact line whenever bub's mouth are out to keep the "breeze" to make me … For me it was caused by repeated trauma and scarring of the nipple pre-pregnancy (which had had traded w / 3x large-bore needles each one when I was "")… Young & Crazy and then he cracks and sores that will not be because I ended up with thrush … So all that damage BB eventually caused my poor (about 4 weeks of breastfeeding), Raynaud's phenomenon. As is true in the heated moment in time I had no problems with it. My son now 1 year old, weaned himself a month ago and we had not had any problems (and not very serious) I guess since about March. I did not even had heard of B6. I hope that works for you! If you want to email me and let me know if it works. I have to be back in April and since I've had to deal with this before you know it is entirely possible for me to have this issue again. And I would be armed and ready lol. Congrats on your twins house4baby@yahoo.com … I was only a baby, but I had many problems to begin breastfeeding. Knowing what is wrong is key to finding a solution! As I said, I could not get anyone to believe, I even showed a lactation amid a spasm, said she had never seen before and called another LC to see her. "Oh, she says she has Raynaud, and I suppose you could just try to keep warm? "
