joint pain viruses

Can a virus cause throbbing pain in your chest?
I've been in bed since Tuesday. It started with a headache and a sore throat then, although my throat is not really shoot it actually hurts and chest pain, with aching joints, including arthritis. My mom went from lupus and whenever I get sick, I automatically assume that's what's wrong. So yesterday I went to the doctor and at first thought I had pneumonia, but then checked my lungs and said that were clear and told me it was a virus. At first it was just a lot of pressure but then my chest started to pound recently (on my left side) the yesterday and I'm a little scared because I've never felt this way. Im not coughing or sneezing, but I had a low grade fever. I check occasionally, ranging from 98.6 to 99.6. I was wondering if anyone can find out more about this and if they experience chest pain with a virus. Thanks for your feedback.
It feels the pain its entry into the bone on his chest? This bone is called the sternum, and right so it lasts in the center of your chest. If so, then it could be costochondritis. Which isn't anything to worry about. It could be just a viral infection. But usually does not cause chest pain How old are you? If you are not middle-aged or a person elderly, then do not worry about it. Have you been tested for lupus? They do a blood test and measure ANA and anti-Smith antibodies.
