cats arthritis symptoms
Cat / dog reactions to different medicines?

Kind of a strange question, but here goes. I wonder if cats and dogs are affected by certain common human drugs and if they are affected positively or negatively. I did a few Google searches and searches in a few cat / advice sites dog, but nothing like what I was looking for. I'm asking in part to find out if they get into something I have to run the hospital, and also wondered if the simple medicines house can be used to treat the common symptoms of cats / dogs. Things like Tylenol, opioid analgesics (especially are very dangerous, my mother often falls behind the sofas and pads on the floor and doesn't find them). cough medicines, Pepto, etc. I've heard some people give their dogs / cats baby Tylenol for arthritis pain and other problems of similar, but is that really healthy? Basically any common medications that one can have in a home.

Tylenol is a no, no. Dogs can take aspirin. No acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Aspirin is fine, I'm not ubut on empty stomach. Koapectate and may Pepto Bismol, and may Gravol. Nothing more.
