arthritis shoulder surgery
She was diagnosed with arthritis in his shoulder AC joint. They said that where surgical correction is shave against a..

… small bone of the clavicle and the resulting scarred into the joint to replace lost cartilage. Anyone who has ever had this surgery? If well, can you describe your experience with it? Pros and cons? Is the issue resolved? How long recovery period was, etc? Thank you both for the great answers so far. I appreciate it.

I had this surgery to stop the arthritis, but I had my clavicle shaved as part of an operation to stabilize a dislocated shoulder that was kept in the rugby field. I was beginning to have arthritis in my teens as a result of wear on my AC joint and the operation totally eleviated this excrutiating pain while I get an incredibly stable shoulder that still stands to severe punishment, every Saturday. It took 12 weeks to recover from this operation and the shaving of the bone in order to help prevent severe arthritis in the future, I have spent the past 12 weeks in a shoulder to put the key in arm to my body (literally). This was not too painful or debilitating, and although the summer I crossed the Pyrenees in southern France without any problems at all. If physio takes seriously and do what you say, then I think we could recover and return to full capacity and within 3 months – I had complete reconstructive surgery and was back in 9 months later. Go for a consultation at a clinic well and contact with a physiotherapist before you plan your recovery and have a better idea of what are its limitations will be during the recovery period.
